Some ideas for my new boss
Yeah, back up and running… sorta. I’ll start with a statement about Barack Obama… The media and our simplistic populace need to stop sucking him off. Barack Obama is just a man like all others. If you think he’ll be able to get in there and totally change the system, you’re dreaming. You think he’ll do all the hard things that need to be done? Uh, I wouldn’t bet on it. How is he going to fix the problems caused by Fannie, Freddie, GM, et al? By throwing money at them… more money than Bush wanted to, I believe. Excuse me? We don’t have a trillion dollars lying around to spend. In fact, we owe China a couple trillion. I wish my finances worked like that… I run out of money so I just go to someone and get another loan. That’s how we got into the recession in the first place… people getting loans that they’d never be able to pay back! Yeah… this will work out awesome.
Barack… get rid of the IRS. Implement the Fair Tax. Let the auto manufacturers go bankrupt. Kick Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to the curb. They’re pretty well corrupt if the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight, an agency with only one job and only TWO clients, couldn’t figure out what was going on. (Who named those two companies, anyway?) Don’t bail out the banks. They were stupid about their lending practices and deserve to get burned. Get out of Iraq and Afghanistan.. they’re money pits and we don’t know what the hell we’re doing when it comes to nation-building. Repeal the Patriot Act. Get a balanced budget. (We’ll worry about saving some money for the tough times a little later.) Try to refocus the nation on the home front. We’ve become a nation of gluttons and it has gotten us into this mess. It’s going to require tough decisions that will put a lot of people in dire straits, but it has to happen for us to come back stronger. Be the President to make the hard decisions and don’t worry about how history and the voting public judges you.
And hey… tomorrow, after becoming my new boss, how about a promotion?
